To support the preparation for the Professional Practice Examination (PPE), the HKILA Education Committee is pleased to host a series of lectures covering the five sections of the PPE syllabus.
We are delighted to announce that Lecture 3 will take place on 12 August 2026 (WED). This session features Mr. John CHARTERS and Ms. Siuman HUNG, who will provide expert briefings on Professional Responsibilities, Liabilities, and Ethics under Section 1 and Professional Practice Management under Section 3. We also invited some newly registered professional members to attend the session, providing an excellent opportunity to foster connections, share recent exam insights, and engage in peer discussions.

Guest Speaker Profiles
Mr. John CHARTERS RLA | HKILA | CMLI (UK)
John is one of the Founding Directors of SCENIC Landscape Studio Limited. He has undertaken landscape projects throughout Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, and was based in the United Kingdom and Singapore prior to settling in Hong Kong. As a landscape consultant director for more than 20 years, John possesses extensive experience across a wide variation of project types and scales. He also brings deep institutional insight to the landscape profession, having served as a member of the Board of Examiners for the HKILA Professional Practice Examination for several years.
Ms. Siuman HUNG RLA | HKILA Vice President (2026–2028)
Siuman founded H Plus Limited in 2021, an HKILA Registered Landscape Practice which has quickly gained recognition in the industry. With nearly 20 years of solid experience across Hong Kong, China, and Asia, she has led numerous local and international projects, demonstrating strong expertise in landscape architecture and a known ability to integrate aesthetic, functional, and environmental considerations. She is also a long-serving council member of the HKILA, having contributed to its council for over 15 years, and possesses a solid background in managing landscape practice in Hong Kong.
