“Maintenance and Appreciation of Historical Buildings” Forum:
Current Practices and Challenges in Built Heritage Conservation
This forum is one of the events of the HKIS Heritage Project “Maintenance and Appreciation of Historical Buildings” (「賞．惜．舊築跡」) which is funded by Built Heritage Conservation Fund under Development Bureau. The project comprises a series of public engagement events which aims at promoting the importance of proper and timely maintenance of historic buildings, encouraging the general public to take the initiative to engage in heritage conservation projects.
In the forum, experts in architectural, surveying and conservation sectors will share their valuable experience and knowledge in historical buildings conservation. In addition, there will be a panel discussion and Q&A session during which case studies of historical buildings maintenance in Hong Kong will be discussed.
