Registration for the HKILA Professional Practice Examination (PPE) 2026 is now open. The written examination will be held on 3 October 2026 (SAT) and the oral examination will be held on 16 January 2027 (SAT).
If you have registered as a HKILA Associate Member before 15 September 2024 and comply with the other pre-requisite requirements stated in the PPE Rules and Regulations, you are eligible to apply for the PPE 2026. Registration is required for all candidates, including those re-taking only the oral examination (i.e. candidates granted exemption from the written examination by the Board of Examiners).
Registration period
– Opening date: 27 July 2026
– Deadline: 17 August 2026 (before 12:00 noon)
Submission Method
– Registration must be submitted by email ONLY.
– Registration materials should be email to secretary1@hkila.com as ONE SINGLE PDF file. Separate files will not be accepted.
Important Notes
– All notifications will only be sent by e-mail, applicants should ensure their email address is accurate in the application form.
– Applicants are strongly advised to complete registration early to avoid last-minute delays. Incomplete, late, or incorrectly submitted registrations (including submissions by post, fax, or in person) will NOT be accepted.

Application submission
* Candidates under other pathways should attach their exemption letter or other recommendation letter, if applicable, and follow the instructions provided when submitting their registration.
A. Written examination
• Submit ONE SINGLE PDF file containing the Examination Registration Form, Practical Training Record (Annex A1–A3), and payment record.
• Complete the Google E-Registration form for counter-checking.
• Practical Training Record must cover the full mandatory period.
B. Retaking Written examination
• Submit ONE SINGLE PDF file containing the Examination Registration Form, Practical Training Record (Annex A1–A3), the previous eligibility notification for the written examination, and payment record.
• Complete the Google E-Registration form for counter-checking.
• With the previous eligibility notification for the written examination attached, applicants are only required to submit Practical Training Record for September 2025 to September 2026.
C. Retaking Oral examination
• Submit ONE SINGLE PDF file containing the Examination Registration Form, Practical Training Record (Annex A1–A3), the exemption notification for written examination issued in PPE 2025, and payment record.
• Complete the Google E-Registration form for counter-checking.
• The Practical Training Record only required to cover the period September 2025 to September 2026.
Payment and refund policy
– Payment for the Admission Fee could be made by PayMe, PayPal, FPS or ATM. Remarks of payment shall be in format [Full name + (membership no.) + PPE2026] (e.g., “Chan Tai Man (G001) PPE2026”). Payment record should be submitted in the form of screen capture.
– Applicants are responsible for verifying that they meet all eligibility criteria prior to applying. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
